At FluidForm Bio™, we build living human tissue for better treatment of disease. Our patented FRESH™ technology is a revolutionary platform designed to build tissue using cells, proteins, and nothing else. Through partnerships with top life science companies, our technology has been validated to produce the highest quality tissue in a variety of applications. 

We were founded in 2018 on the belief that the world needs transformational technologies led by creative and passionate experts that help people lead better lives. Our mission is to integrate our breakthrough innovations in 3D printing, computational and synthetic biology, AI and machine learning, and advanced materials science to develop human tissue that is indistinguishable from the real thing.

Pursuing that goal is a leadership team with a unique combination of experiences from the fields of Life Sciences and Technology, and a broader team with deep domain expertise in hardware, software, biomedical engineering, machine learning, materials science, and medicine.

Mike Graffeo, Chief Executive Officer & Co-founder

  • Mike is the CEO and Co-founder of FluidForm Bio, which uses 3D printing to build living human tissue to improve the treatment of disease. A senior executive with a proven track record, he has successfully grown new businesses in both startup and growth organizations.

    Throughout his career, he has worked on the forefront of medical technologies, translating highly complex products and clinical data into successful businesses, in the US and around the world. In over 20 years in the life sciences, Mike has brought four novel products through the FDA that have generated over $20 billion in sales.

    Mike holds a BS in Engineering Physics and a MEng in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School were he earned the highest award for academic achievement as a Baker Scholar.

Jonathan Paris, General Counsel & Head of Corporate Strategy
  • Dr. Adam Feinberg is the CTO and Co-founder of FluidForm Bio and a Professor at Carnegie Mellon University in the departments of Biomedical Engineering and Materials Science & Engineering. Driving the commercialization of the FRESH™ 3D bioprinting platform, Adam has spearheaded a wide range of applications in the pharma, medical device, and regenerative medicine industries. 

    Adam has earned his BS in Materials Science & Engineering from Cornell University in 1999 with Co-op experience at Abiomed Inc. working on total artificial hearts. He then earned his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Florida focusing on engineering cell-material interactions to prevent and enhance adhesion. This was followed by postdoctoral training at Harvard University developing new biomaterials and stem cell-based cardiac tissue engineering strategies.

    He has co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications, holds over 20 US patents and patent applications, and has received multiple honors including the NSF CAREER Award, the NIH Director’s New Innovator Award, and Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering. His primary research focus is engineering extracellular matrix (ECM) protein scaffolds using advanced biomanufacturing and 3D bioprinting approaches for multiple applications including cancer models, regenerative scaffolds, skeletal muscle and cardiac muscle tissue engineering.

Jonathan Paris
General Counsel
& Head of Corporate Strategy

  • Jonathan is the General Counsel & Head of Corporate Strategy at FluidForm Bio, which uses 3D printing to build living human tissue to improve the treatment of disease. He is responsible for legal, compliance and the strategic direction of FluidForm Bio.

    Jonathan is a seasoned legal executive and commercial attorney who has counseled domestic and multinational publicly traded and privately held organizations. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel of Rapid Micro Biosystems, a life sciences technology company, where he led the legal and compliance functions while helping the company IPO. Previously, Jonathan held numerous leadership positions at Insulet Corporation, Medtronic and Covidien.

    Jonathan received his BA in Economics & Government from Colby College, and an MSF and a JD from Suffolk University.
